August 15, 2008.Legazpi City, Albay. Bicolanos gave their cordial welcome to the first SEO Training, which was held at the Southern Luzon Technological College Foundation Inc and is open to all who has the passion on Online Web Marketing. The training was conducted by the SEO Specialist Gabriel Libacao together with the Junior Specialist Almer Viloria. This training aims to build up the Bicolanos to have the first Bicol SEO Team. With the great effort of the SLTCFI to have that dream team in Albay they provided a free training on SEO prior to this they also trained their student on the Online Web Marketing in preparation for this great opportunity.
The SEO (Search Engine Optimization) refers to the optimization of content for the benefit of Search Engines. This is also the process of increasing the amount of traffics or visitors to a web site by ranking high in the search result of the search engine. This explains that the higher the web site ranks the greater the possibility that the site will be visited by the users. Libacao also explains that SEO facilitate to ensure that the site is accessible to the search engine and improves the chances that a website will be on top or on the ranking. The person who offer a stand-alone service on SEO are called “Search Engine Optimizer”, this is the one who incorporate the development of the site.
SEO started in Manila and is expected to be the most popular industry globally in the future. Aside from SEO training SLTCFI also conducted a free training for Online Web Copywriting. Libacao said that to be a good SEO you should be “analytic, good writer, internet savvy and very good in html”. These are the requirements to have that “SEO dream team” and it became possible because the training was successful and is expected that this industry will become successful here in Albay.

Arjay Millena was one of Bicol’s first trainees on Online Web Marketing and was given the opportunity to be part of the First SEO Team in Albay. And is being employed to be an SEO support team member and recently promoted to be an SEO Junior Team Leader on a US Company while studying.
